When choosing an a real estate agent to assist you with buying property it is not quite as important that you find the most experienced agent like it is when using an agent to sell your property. When selling you want an agent who will market your home to its fullest potential to ensure a buyer is found. This is not the critical issue when buying.

A newer agent who has not built a name for themselves yet will be hungry to represent buyers and may often be willing to spend more time with you helping you to find a property. A more experienced agent prefers to work with sellers more often than buyers as that is where the most money is.
